Jennifer F. Wisniewski is Of Counsel to Shepherd PLLC and a legal executive experienced at providing advice that balances legal realities with business oriented outcomes. Ms. Wisniewski has over six years general counsel experience in the franchising industry as well as 10 years of private practice, including as a partner at Snell & Wilmer, LLP. In these roles, she developed a diverse legal background that makes her uniquely qualified to work with clients with various legal needs. Her experience includes all phases of franchise disclosure, registration and renewal, negotiating and drafting international master franchise agreements, advising franchise systems on franchisee relationship issues, general corporate, including corporate formation and maintenance, drafting and negotiating asset purchase agreements, technology agreements, IP license agreements and trademark prosecution. She has also represented landlords and tenants in negotiating stand-alone and multi-tenant leases in the retail and restaurant industries. Through her experience, she has developed sophisticated drafting and negotiation skills as well as a track record as a legal and strategic advisor to executive, operations and sales teams.
Ms. Wisniewski served as the co-chair for the International Franchise Association’s Women’s Franchise Network, Denver chapter and the chairperson for the Colorado State Bar Association’s subsection on franchising. She was named Franchise Times Legal Eagle in 2007 and 2008 and presented franchise topics for the Colorado Bar Association, Business Law Institute and the International Franchise Association’s Annual Legal Symposium. She has also co-authored a chapter on franchising for The Practitioner’s Guide to Colorado Business Organizations. She earned her J.D. from the University of Denver College of Law in 1998 and her Bachelor of Arts in political science from the University of Florida in 1993.
